Aamir Khan calls, says vote right
In an initiative by an electoral watchdog, the actor will exhort voters via a pre-recorded mobile message, to choose their candidate wisely
Tt's no secret that when the thinking man's actor, Aamir Khan, asks one to vote smart, people listen. So, we can only guess the affect he will have when he calls on your personal mobile number and imparts the same message.
This is precisely the plan that Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), the Ahmedabad based non-political group working for governmental and electoral reforms, has in mind before the onset of the assembly elections in seven states across India, five that go to polls in the next few months, and two, whose dates will be announced later in the year. Under the ADR initiative, Aamir Khan will be approaching the voters with automated calls in which he will be exhorting the message - "Acche Ko Chuniye. Sachche Ko Chuniye".
Throwing greater light on the initiative, Pooja Mehra, Program Associate, ADR says, "Yes, we have approached Aamir Khan. In fact, he is through with the recording now. This message would be reaching voters via automated cell phone calls and in the recorded message, Aamir Khan would be requesting voters to cast their vote wisely. The message would be under the slogan "Acche Ko Chuniye Sachche Ko Chuniye", so that it makes an effective impact on the voters. A helpline number at the end would follow the message and if the receiver of the call would call back on the helpline number, then we would provide the caller with the financial, political and even the criminal details of the candidate for whom the caller will be making an enquiry. I am sure that this would definitely help voters in choosing the right candidate in their constituencies. In three to four days voters in Uttar Pradesh will start getting the appeal of Aamir Khan on their mobile phones."
Pooja adds that the initiative is being taken in consonance with the election Commission of Inda. "We are in direct coordination with the EC office. As soon as the process of nomination of candidates by the various parties in the election fray begins, we will start getting the details about the candidates from the Election Commission."
Earlier as well, the actor had appreared in a series of TV advertisements creating awareness about voting rights. The ads were penned by Prasoon Joshi and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Большая статья, в которой дела на 2 слова
Аамир участвует в политической компании: призывает индийцев на предстоящих выборах голосовать честно и разумно. Как я поняла, с помощью специальных сообщений на мобильные телефоны.
