Bollywood actor Vipin Sharma talks to Samay News about his role in Salman Khan starrer Kick where he turns baddie, his relationship with Aamir Khan and his directorial debut.

His mindblowing performance as the strict father in Tare Zameen Par is the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions the name of actor Vipin Sharma. Vipin has enacted some powerful roles in Bollywood movies thanks to his stint at the National School of Drama and training in filmmaking from Canadian Film Center in Toronto, Canada. He has just wound up shooting for Salman Khan's Kick where he plays the role of a Home Minister with negative shades. We are expecting him to give another hard hitting perfromance as we have witnessed him doing in the past. Vipin has very fond memories of Bollywood and was happy to share a few with us when we coaxed him.

The star closest to his heart is Aamir Khan, whom he looks up to as a friend and a mentor. "One cannot express in words how great this manis; he is a greater man than an actor," Vipin says of Aamir. He shares how once during shooting for Tare Zameen Par, he had to slap Darshil Zafari who was playing the role of his son and in this particular scene he refuses to go to the hostel. "I was very close to Darshil and couldn't slap him because everytime I raised my hand, he moved his face away. I told Aamir that I won't be able to give the shot. Aamir told me to remove my shirt. I told him it was full of my sweat and smell. This did not deter him from wearing my sweat-drenched shirt. Since the shot was from the back he wore my shirt and gave the shot instead of me," says Sharma. The whole unit was surprised. "After the shot was over he opened the shirt and returned it to me saying'now I have added my sweat and smell to it'."

Vipin will soon be making his directorial debut with Akki te Vikki te Nikki. "I have finished my major shoot of it," he stated excitedly. We at Samay News wish him all the luck in his future endeavors.
