Satyamev Jayate team shoots at Bhopal's one-stop crisis centre
A three-member production team of Satyamev Jayate, a TV show anchored by Aamir Khan, is in Bhopal to shoot the responses to the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OSCC) that was inaugurated by the Bollywood actor in June, 2014.
Aamir Khan was campaigning for OSCCs on Satyamev Jayate's ‘Fighting Rape’ episode. Gauravi is the state’s first one-stop institutional solution for survivors and patients. At the OSCC, the victims can register an FIR, get medical treatment, psychological counselling and legal aid, all under one roof.
On Monday, the team filmed JP Hospital, where they interacted with the patients and doctors, seeking their feedback on OSCC and the delivery of generic medicines at the hospital.
Shanti Bhushan, a cinematographer, told HT that they would record the improvements in the health sector after the issue was raised in the Satyamev Jayate episode. The crew, including Janaki Fernandes (website content of satyamevjayate.in) and Shahab Alam (sound recordist), said it would talk to the principal secretary health. "On Tuesday, we will visit a health facility in Bairagarh to seek the response of people there," he added.
On the JP Hospital he said, "It was good," adding the state had done a commendable job following the Stayamev Jayate show.
